Abstract

Cattleya orchids, one of the most renowned genera in the Orchidaceae family, are celebrated for their beauty and high economic value in the floriculture industry. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of Cattleya orchid research in the agricultural sector and industry using Scopus data from 2014 to 2024. Utilizing Bibliometrix package on R Studio Software tools, we evaluate global research patterns, major topics, and emerging trends. The results show fluctuations in publication volume and citation impact over the years, with a strong focus on in vitro propagation, conservation, hybridization, and taxonomy. The thematic map reveals a significant correlation between biotechnology techniques and Cattleya orchid conservation, with implications for sustainability and plant breeding. These findings offer critical insights into the trends of Cattleya orchid research and highlight opportunities for further exploration, especially in biotechnology and conservation, to enhance sustainable practices. This research contributes to the development of more efficient propagation techniques and supports long-term sustainability in Cattleya orchid conservation for future practical applications.
