Abstract
This study aims to analyze factors influencing capacity and sustainability in young agrosociopreneur communities (ASP Muda) in Indonesia. Young agrosociopreneurs play a crucial role in agricultural innovation and social entrepreneurship but face numerous barriers in sustaining their enterprises. A holistic approach was employed to examine individual characteristics, external support, and the intensity of information technology (IT) utilization. Data were collected through a survey of 227 young farmers in West Java, Indonesia, and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS software. Results indicate that the capacity of young agrosociopreneur communities—encompassing managerial, marketing, technical, social, and innovation capabilities—is significantly influenced by individual characteristics, external support, and IT utilization. Furthermore, enhanced capacity positively impacts the sustainability of their agribusinesses. This study provides novel insights by presenting a comprehensive framework to improve capacity and sustainability in young agrosociopreneur communities, highlighting the importance of integrated support through education, technology, and robust business networks. These findings offer strategic implications for policymakers and practitioners aiming to foster sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship among youth in tropical regions.
