The November 2022 Cianjur Earthquake severely impacted farmer families in the long term. This study aims to: [1] analyze the resilience of earthquake-survivor farmer families in relation to vulnerability, economic pressure, and coping strategies, and [2] compare these variables between two groups: families with severely and lightly damaged houses. Conducted one year post-disaster, the research involved 162 farming families (81 from each group). All variables showed adequate reliability. Farmer families with severely damaged houses exhibited lower resilience and coping strategies but faced higher vulnerability and subjective economic pressure compared to those with lightly damaged houses. SEM-PLS test results indicated that vulnerability significantly affects family resilience while coping strategies have an eight percent significance level in influencing resilience. Vulnerability also has a notable impact on subjective economic pressure and coping strategies. Together, vulnerability, economic pressure, and coping strategies accounted for 31.2 percent of the variance in family resilience. These findings emphasize the need to manage vulnerability to help farmer families recover during crises like disasters. In general, reducing vulnerability and building family resilience is crucial for disaster mitigation and risk reduction, ensuring the progress of sustainable development Goals (SDGs) is not hindered.
