Abstract

Obesity in Indonesia has increased and is more frequent in women, along with changes in dietary patterns. This research aimed to investigate the relationship between energy and macronutrient intake and nutritional status of obese young women subjects in Bandung City. The findings of this study tend not to support the hypothesis that excess energy and nutrient intake causes obesity. Under-reporting food intake during data collection may be one of the problems in studying subjects' food habits.
