Ginger's Health Benefits in Indonesia and Its Implications for COVID-19 Recovery: A Propensity Score Matching Analysis with Random Forest. In the absence of a definitive cure for COVID-19, the Indonesian population, recognizing the potential health benefits of ginger, turns to it as an alternative remedy. However, ethically evaluating whether ginger consumption influences COVID-19 recovery among survivors presents challenges as it involves human lives. This study employs propensity score matching, a statistical method, to compare survivors who consumed ginger with their counterparts who did not, ensuring a balanced comparison. The investigation aims to statistically assess the impact of ginger consumption on recovery duration, utilizing propensity score matching with random forest. Variables include gender, age, isolation type, vaccination history, symptoms, and the COVID wave. The study results in a notable reduction in bias (33.5%) and reveals no statistically significant impact.
