Phyllanthus sp contains various secondary metabolites that are effective to enhance immunity, to treat diabetes, hypertension, anti-cancer, kidney disorders, and others. Since the Covid-19 pandemic Phyllanthus sp is widely used as a raw material for making medicinal herb. The objective of the research is to improve the production quality of Phyllanthus sp by increasing the content of secondary metabolites. This research is a descriptive analytic where primary data was collected from farmers and several key persons who have a lot of experience in cultivation of medicinal plants. The result of the research show that currently in Indonesia, there are relatively few phytopharmaca products because it is constrained by the supply of high quality raw materials in accordance with the requirements by the industry of medicinal herb. The efforts to improve production quality of Phyllanthus sp can be done through the cultivation technique involving utilization of biofertilizer, environmental arrangements of plant growth, and combination with the application of good agricultural practices. The efforts to increase production quality of Phyllanthus sp is very important to support the development of medicinal herb business in Indonesian where in 2022 was reach about US $ 943 millions and it can be more increased.
