Abstract

This title has been presented on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 08.25-08.35 GMT+7.

The research area was carried out on the Kapuas River, which is in 5 sub-districts in Sanggau Regency, including Kapuas District, Mukok District, Sekayam District, Tayan Hilir District and Tayan Hulu District. River water quality data is explained at 7 water sampling locations which have been monitored for 3 years, starting from 2021 to 2023. Analysis of river water quality and water quality index refers to Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 27 of 2021 concerning Environmental Quality Index using the pollution index method and the STORET method. Based on the results of air quality analysis using the pollution index method, the pollution index value from 2021 to 2023 ranges from 0.82 to 2.24, which states that the water quality status of the Kapuas River is "good" to "lightly polluted”. In addition, the results of the river water quality analysis using the STORET method obtained a value between -5 to -34 with the river water quality status being " lightly polluted" to "heavily
polluted". Based on the results of the river water quality analysis, the river water quality index value for 3 years ranged from 50 to 52.86 which states the Water Quality Index category is "Medium".
