This study delves into the complex issue of stunting, a critical nutritional challenge prevalent in Aceh Province, Indonesia, particularly among children under the age of five. Stunting, characterized by decreased height-for-age indices, has been a persistent challenge despite the government's concerted efforts to combat it through various policies. The study examines the policy landscape, particularly focusing on the implementation of interventions designed to address stunting. Through qualitative methods such as interviews, document analysis, and observations, the study investigates the effectiveness of existing policies and their alignment with actual intervention strategies. Interviews include input from a range of stakeholders, including experts, government representatives, and community members, providing a comprehensive overview of the policy landscape and its execution. The study reveals a significant discrepancy between the intended policy framework and the on-ground implementation of interventions in Aceh. While some indicators align with national targets, many specific and sensitive intervention indicators fall short of these goals. This suggests a need for more comprehensive, focused, and aligned efforts in policy implementation to effectively address stunting. The study highlights the necessity for firm action, stringent budgetary monitoring, and increased collaboration among stakeholders to improve the efficacy and coverage of stunting reduction programs in Aceh. Ultimately, the research underscores the urgency for better policy alignment and implementation to mitigate the challenge of stunting among children in the province.
