Abstract. The agroindustry sector, especially the halal industry, has great opportunities in Indonesia since it has the largest Muslim population in the world. As micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)are the most important pillar in the Indonesian economy, they are perfect for halal industry development. In the last decade, beef consumption has increased due to people's awareness to consume nutritious and varied food. However, a guarantee on the halal status of local and imported beef products is unavailable, especially in traditional markets where beef is sold in bulk. Generally, Indonesian consumers prefer to buy beef from MSMEs in bulk and without commercial packaging. The objective of this study is to review the consumers' behavior toward the halal traceability of beef products, particularly bulk and processed beef, from MSMEs. The paper focuses on blockchain implementation for halal traceability. The method used is Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) and bibliometric analysis using Vos Viewer. Scientific papers from Scopus published from 2019 to 2023 included 136 articles. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, and 12 articles were selected for systematic review. Many Factors have halal status along the supply chain. Therefore, tracing and tracking should be conducted to allow information gathering on the source, handling, and journey of the products. Blockchain technology can provide traceability and assurance of halal status. The systematic review showed that blockchain implementation still faces the challenge of low awareness and willingness of consumers.
