Abstract

This title will be presented on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 16.05-16.15 GMT+7.

Bandung, a city located in the province of West Java, has significant historical value as an ancient urban center. Its annual commemoration takes place on September 25, a tradition that has been observed since the year 1810. As a result of its extensive history, this urban center has amassed a significant reservoir of cultural resources and architectural landmarks, therefore establishing itself as a prominent metropolis in the region of West Java. According to statistics provided by the Bandung City Government, there are now twenty-one museums that are actively registered. Every museum has unique dynamics, distinct qualities, and a certain management style. The presence of the museum can make a substantial contribution and catalyze the expansion of tourism in Bandung, a city renowned for its creative endeavors. Hence, in order to optimize this potential, it is essential to conduct comprehensive research that can effectively delineate the potential presence of these 21 museums within the context of tour and travel-oriented tourism. The practice of museum tourism encompasses several possibilities and repercussions, including economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Efficient and effective route planning is necessary for navigating the distances between museums located at diverse sites. The use of the optimization technique, including the Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO) Genetic Algorithm, presents a potential resolution for the development of efficient travel routes. This may also be advantageous in enhancing the city branding of Bandung, exerting a direct or indirect influence on the economic development and tourism in the locality. The use of Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO) may provide enhanced route determination, leading to increased efficiency. This, in turn, can have a significant influence on several aspects, such as cost reduction, carbon footprint mitigation, and overall advantages for the advancement of the economic sector.
