INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES

The 3rd International Conference, organized annually by the Indonesian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ISBMB), serves as a premier platform for scientific dialogue, fostering the exchange of ideas, and addressing contemporary challenges through innovative research. This annual event brings together scientists, researchers, and professionals from diverse fields to discuss and explore the latest advancements in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. With a focus on bridging education, foundational research, and applied sciences, the conference emphasizes collaborative efforts to promote breakthroughs in science and their application for societal benefit. The International Seminar in conjunction with The 28th Annual National Conference of the Indonesian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ISBMB) is scheduled to take place in June 2025 at the IPB Convention Center, Bogor.

ISISBMB carries the theme "Synergizing Agriculture, Marine Science, and Health through Biochemistry" this prestigious event highlights the critical role of genomic biochemistry in addressing pressing global issues. It aims to connect research and innovation in Agriculture, Marine science, and Health, Fostering multidisciplinary collaborations to develop sustainable solutions.

The seminars will encompass five critical sub-themes:

1. Biochemistry Innovations in Agriculture

  • Molecular approaches to enhancing resilience to climate change and environmental stress.
  • Biochemistry-based pest and disease management for sustainable agriculture.
  • Integration of biotechnology in developing biofortified and high-yield crops.

2. Marine Science and Biotechnology

  • Biochemistry insights into marine biodiversity and ecosystem conservation.
  • Marine-derived biomolecules for pharmaceutical and industrial applications.
  • Molecular tools for monitoring and mitigating marine pollution.
  • Biochemistry strategies in sustainable aquaculture and fisheries management.

3. Health Biochemistry

  • Biochemistry studies in the prevention and treatment of infectious and non-communicable diseases.
  • Development of precision medicine through biochemistry profiling andmolecular diagnostics.

Sessions will cover a broad range of topics, including but not limited to advancements in genomic biochemistry, molecular biology, and the integration of scientific research to address challenges in food security, marine biodiversity, and public health.

The conference consists of four main activities: 1) plenary lecture, 2) parallel lecture, 3) oral presentation, and 4) poster presentation.
