Abstract

Special attention is required for landscape services on small islands due to limited resources. These services are pivotal in shaping the socio-economic fabric of communities. To identify socio-economic factors, data was collected from 100 community respondents using the Importance Performance Analysis Matrix (IPMA) in the SPSS program. On Pasaran Island, land utilization for landscaping purposes was explored through drone mapping, aided by software tools like DroneDeploy, Agisoft Photoscan Pro, and QGIS. The mapping revealed diverse land uses including residential areas, health centers, schools, fish drying and production sites, and sales locations. Research findings indicated that 37% of the population earns monthly incomes ranging from 300,000 to 1,000,000, often influenced by the availability of natural resources. IPMA analysis categorized findings into quadrants. Quadrant I highlighted the necessity for increased community and government involvement in managing landscape services. Quadrant II showcased community concerns regarding risks associated with landscape service utilization. Quadrant III emphasized the need for enhanced transparency in government funds related to landscaping services. Finally, Quadrant IV displayed community willingness to participate in the planning and implementation of landscape services. In conclusion, understanding the socio-economic dynamics and community needs is vital for effective landscape service management on Pasaran Island.
