This activity aims to increase the capacity of human resources in the program of utilizing ex-sand mining pit lakes for community-based environmentally friendly aquaculture. The activity carried out in Suradita Village, Cisauk District, Tangerang Regency consists of training, piloting, and mentoring, which began with socialization of activities, observation of the land area around the lake, and measurement of the water quality of the lake. Socialization was carried out to partners, namely the Bratasena Pandu Nusantara Foundation and several local community leaders, all of whom welcomed the program, complementing the activities of utilizing ex sand mining pit lakes for tourism that are being carried out by the foundation. The results of water quality measurements covering aspects of physics, chemistry, and biology of water indicate suitability for aquaculture, both seeding, nursery, and enlargement. The fish farming business can be carried out on land (land-based aquaculture) and in water (water-based aquaculture). The training provided in the form of technical and management of hatchery and nursery businesses was attended by 30 participants. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, it appears that the training has increased the participants' insight by 35%. The pilot project was carried out in the form of tilapia fish nursery in floating net cages which is still ongoing, and the fish seeding is being planned on land and in the waters. Mentoring was carried out in the form of visits, online meetings with the foundation's management, and placement of research students at the location. Efforts to utilize the ex-sand mining pit lake for aquaculture efforts received a positive response from the foundation and community leaders. The surrounding land and water of the ex-sand mining pit lakes can be used for fish farming. The community that will be involved in efforts to utilize the lakes will gain additional insight after receiving training.
