Abstract

GIS for village planning and development is necessary to increase the effectiveness of spatial planning, resource
management, and monitoring the socio-economic development of villages. Simpangan Village, North Cikarang
Sub-district, Bekasi Regency, is a densely populated village and the center of commercial and industrial activities
facing problems in spatial management and spatial data of socio-economic development. The activity of Dosen
Pulang Kampung in Simpangan Village aims to create a village socio-economic database and provide training in
its management using the QGIS application. The implementation method is carried out in several stages: collecting secondary spatial data, creating RW boundary data, collecting socio-economic data, compiling databases and spatial displays, and training village officials. This activity resulted in mapping RW boundaries and socioeconomic spatial data of Simpangan village. The village officials can update the village's socio-economic data using the QGIS application. This service activity of Dosen Pulang Kampung can increase the capacity of Simpangan Village apparatus in preparing village socio-economic spatial data, which is used as a basis for village government decision-making in monitoring economic development programs and planning village spatial areas
more efficiently.
