Revitalisasi Pendederan Ikan Patin di Kampung Patin, Desa Sukamandijaya, Kecamatan Ciasem, Kabupaten Subang, Jawa Barat

Abstract

Market demand for pangasius consumption is increasing, it is necessary to increase its cultivation productivity. For this reason, it is essential to increase the production of seeds ready to be spread in rearing ponds which can be achieved through improving seed, water, and feed management. The purpose of this Dospulkam activity is to prepare human resources who are responsive to innovation progress and resilient in increasing the productivity of pangasius cultivation, especially in the nursery segment. The activity was carried out from August 2024 to October 2024 with an active participant participation method through four stages, namely socialization and surveys, pangasius nursery training, demonstrations and mentoring, and activity evaluation. The target of this activity is 30 members of the Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan) in Patin Village, Sukamandijaya Village, Ciasem District, Subang Regency, West Java. The training delivered 7 materials, namely Pangasius Fish Nursery System and Technology, Larva Management, Feed and Feeding, Water Quality Management, Application of Natural Materials for Aquaculture Commodity Health, Institutions in Aquaculture, and Marketing, Business Analysis and Institutions. This activity resulted in an increase in the knowledge of farmers about patin fish nurseries by 70.75%, skills in the use of water quality measuring equipment, data recording and analysis, knowledge of water probiotics to improve water quality and feed probiotics to increase feed efficiency, and awareness of the importance of food safety through the introduction of herbal medicines to control fish diseases. The lack of time in the training was followed up by monitoring nurseries and discussions, both directly and via the Internet.
