Abstract

The “Petani Keren” program is a collaboration between the Digital Farming Team of Agribusiness and Technology Park (ATP), IPB University, and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of 40 Scout Council members. These members, who are also part of the community, are trained to act as dissemination agents of digital farming knowledge to broader society, enabling the implementation and tangible benefits of the concept. As scouts, participants hold social responsibilities to serve the community by sharing the knowledge and practices they have acquired. Using a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on practice, the program covers various topics, including the fundamentals of greenhouses, hydroponic cultivation using the NFT system, drip irrigation, and IoT-based monitoring and control. Participants are also trained to design NFT hydroponic and drip irrigation systems, encompassing economic analysis and the required tools and materials for cultivation. This program successfully empowered scout council members to transfer and apply the knowledge to the community, resulting in positive impacts on sustainable agribusiness development.
