Abstract

Kebalen Village, Babelan District, Bekasi Regency, has two communities that are quite active in environmental management. There is One Women Farmers Group (WFG) and 13 Waste Banks (WB). The Mentoring Program carried out by the IPB lecturer team in the Lecturer Returns Home Program in Kebalen Village aims to broaden the insights of both groups related to cooperative management and opportunities for group business development. The Smart House for Cooperatives (RUPIKO) is a medium for various communities to strengthen group institutions. The activities from August to November were carried out through capacity building training for WFG and WB members. The IPB team partnered with the Kebalen Village Waste Bank Communication Forum in organizing the program. There were 4 training materials provided, namely 1) Business opportunities for cultivating agricultural commodities; 2) Financial literacy; 3) Branding and digitalization of waste banks; and 4) Training on the basics of cooperatives. After the training, the administrators and members of KWT and BS actively implemented the training results. Some of the achievements obtained include increasing the types of agricultural products cultivated by KWT, branding of several KWT and BS products, and the use of the RUPIKO module in preparing cooperative requirements.
