Program Kedaulatan Pangan Berbasis Pengendalian Hama Terpadu di Desa Sempu, Kediri

Sempu Village, Ngancar Subdistrict, Kediri Regency, is one of the villages where the majority of residents depend on the agricultural sector as their main source of livelihood. This community service program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of pest and disease management to support local food security in Sempu Village through agricultural practices that balance agricultural productivity and environmental conservation. The implementation method uses lecture approaches, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions both offline and online. The community service activities were conducted from June 18 to August 9, 2025, involving 45 participants consisting of community members and farmer groups from Sempu Village. Based on the discussion results, the main problems faced are pest and disease attacks on superior commodities, namely pineapple, chili, and tomato. Through this community service extension program, farmers gained knowledge about pest and disease identification, appropriate pesticide use, utilization of biological agents, and digital technology for agricultural consultation. The program results showed increased knowledge, farmer independence, and agricultural productivity in Sempu Village, which supports local food security.
