This community engagement program aimed to strengthen health resilience among women in Sukabumi by improving their understanding of hypertension and diabetes and building practical skills for preparing local herbal drinks and natural handwash. Twenty-five PKK members from Karangtengah Village participated in structured education delivered by medical lecturers, baseline blood pressure and glucose screening, and hands-on training sessions using locally available resources. Knowledge was assessed through matched pre- and post-tests, and behavioural adoption was evaluated through post-intervention self-reports. Screening results showed that a meaningful proportion of participants presented elevated blood pressure or glucose values, underscoring the relevance of the program. Substantial gains in knowledge were observed across all domains, including risk factors, early symptoms, preventive lifestyle practices, and recognition of locally available herbal ingredients. All improvements were statistically significant, indicating effective transfer of health information. Practical training further strengthened participants’ confidence, as evidenced by a high intention to adopt the taught practices. Overall, the program demonstrated that community-based, participatory health education, combined with culturally appropriate practical training, can enhance knowledge, support healthier behaviours, and promote sustainable household health practices in rural communities.
