The transmigration area of Mesuji Regency consists of three districts and 38 villages, with rice, oil palm, and rubber as its main commodities. This condition makes Mesuji a productive economic region. However, capacity building is still required, particularly in the development of rural business ecosystems through the optimization of leading commodities. The purpose of this community service activity was to introduce the concept of a business ecosystem based on leading commodities. This activity was carried out by the Patriot Expedition team of the Ministry of Transmigration in Mesuji Regency, Lampung. The community service program was implemented in an integrated manner with focus group discussions (FGDs) in three districts, namely Mesuji, East Mesuji, and North Rawajitu. Materials on leading commodity–based business ecosystems were presented and discussed with representatives of farmer groups, agricultural machinery brigades (alsintan brigades), and village officials. This activity enhanced participants’ understanding of village-based planning for the development of leading commodities. The results indicate that farmer groups, alsintan brigades, and village officials developed a strong understanding of how to design village business ecosystems through production optimization and product downstreaming.
