The IPB University Patriot Expedition Team has conducted a study in the Tobadak Transmigration Area, particularly in Tobadak Subdistrict, Central Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi. The main objective of this study is to identify leading commodities, the economic structure of farming households, and agricultural business activities, which form the basis for strategic recommendations for regional development. The methods used for mapping leading commodities were Location Quotient (LQ) and shift share analysis. This was followed by value chain and business feasibility analysis, as well as the development of a Business Model Canvas and A'WOT. The entire process was carried out from planning, field surveys, data collection, to Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving stakeholders. Based on this analysis, a number of commodities with advantages in Tobadak Subdistrict have been identified. In the horticulture sub-sector, there are watermelons and bananas. Corn has the highest value among food crops, while the livestock sub-sector is dominated by beef cattle and pigs. However, in terms of financial feasibility, palm oil, rice, and watermelon show higher profitability and return on investment compared to other commodities. Welfare analysis using the Anker Method indicates that farmers' household incomes do not yet fully meet the standard of a decent living, thus requiring intervention in strengthening farming and processing of produce. The findings and analysis were used to formulate policy recommendations and strategy design. The recommendations generated were to integrate agropolitan area development policies with the use of digital technology in the supply chain and marketing.
