Peningkatan Pengetahuan Mengenai Konsep Kesejahteraan dan Kemiskinan Melalui Model CIBEST di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ghozali Yogyakarta

The community service program conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al-Ghozali, Yogyakarta, on June 20, 2025, aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the application of the CIBEST model within the pesantren context. In this program, academics from IPB University delivered essential lectures covering the CIBEST profile, Islamic development economics, the concepts of welfare and poverty, the theoretical framework of the CIBEST model, as well as its calculation methods. The program was attended by 65 students (santri) along with the pesantren administrators. Evaluation results indicated that, significantly, the participants demonstrated a strong grasp of the concepts of welfare, poverty, and the implementation of the CIBEST model, with an average post-test score of 82. However, several challenges were encountered, including limited time for in-depth material delivery and the need for broader socialization efforts. To ensure the sustainability of this initiative, a Letter of Intent was signed between IPB University and Pesantren Al-Ghozali, reaffirming a mutual commitment to continue the program. Through this ongoing collaboration, the program is expected to generate a broader positive impact by enhancing the community’s understanding and practical application of the CIBEST model to improve both material and spiritual welfare. Recommendations derived from the program include strengthening socialization efforts, further developing program materials, and involving a wider range of stakeholders to deepen the understanding of the CIBEST model. Ultimately, this initiative is expected to make a meaningful contribution to improving community welfare and empowering pesantren communities to implement the model in a sustainable manner.
