Cianjur Regency is one of Indonesia’s national rice production centers; however, increasing rice productivity remains challenging due to farmers’ high dependence on chemical fertilizers, which may degrade soil quality and threaten agricultural sustainability. This community service program aimed to enhance farmers’ knowledge, skills, and independence in producing and applying organic fertilizers based on organic waste to support sustainable agriculture. The program was conducted in Bobojong Village, Mande Sub-district, Cianjur Regency, from May to October 2025, involving 50 farmers. The methods included initial observation, socialization, hands-on training on the production of solid and liquid organic fertilizers, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in farmers’ understanding, as indicated by an increase in the average score from 56 to 71. Farmers also began independently producing and applying organic fertilizers and utilizing household organic waste as raw materials. The program positively impacted farmers’ capacity building, reduced reliance on chemical fertilizers, and created opportunities for sustainability through collective organic fertilizer production initiatives. With continued assistance and multi-stakeholder collaboration, this program has strong potential for replication to strengthen food security and sustainable agriculture in other regions.
