2026: Program Book FiSAED: Science and Technology for Sustainable Agromaritime
The Science and Technology for Sustainable Agromaritime subtheme highlights the role of science and technological innovation in transforming research into practical solutions for sustainable agromaritime development. It covers five focus areas: (1) Mechanical and Biosystem Engineering, focusing on smart and efficient technologies for agricultural, livestock, fisheries, and aquaculture systems; (2) Food Science and Technology, advancing food processing, preservation, safety, quality, and nutrition; (3) Agroindustrial Technology, promoting sustainable, circular, and value-adding production systems; (4) Civil and Environmental Engineering, developing resilient infrastructure, water management, and environmental solutions; and (5) Mathematics and Natural Sciences, providing analytical, modeling, computational, and fundamental scientific approaches to support evidence-based solutions. Together, these areas contribute to greater productivity, resource efficiency, resilience, and measurable impact across agromaritime systems. This subtheme aligns closely with several Sustainable Development Goals:

It emphasises the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration and cutting-edge technology to drive sustainable development within the agromaritime sector.
