Join Us at The 4th IPB International Conference on Nutrition and Food!
Department of Community Nutrition IPB University is honored to invite you to the 4th IPB International Conference on Nutrition and Food (ICNF 2026), themed “Synergizing Science for Nutrition Resilience through Sustainable Food and Active Living”, taking place online, 15–16 May 2026.
The ICNF series began in 2020 with the 1st IPB International Conference on Nutrition and Food (ICNF2020). Building on the success of ICNF 2020, ICNF 2022, and ICNF 2024, this fourth conference continues to grow as an international forum addressing nutrition and food challenges in the 21st century. For ICNF 2026, the Department of Nutrition, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) will join as co‑organizer. This conference will invite speakers from various countries, who are experts in nutrition and food.
Synergizing Science for Nutrition Resilience
Given the complexity of nutrition issues, solutions cannot be pursued in isolation. A holistic, cross‑disciplinary approach is essential, integrating agriculture, food technology, public health, economics, education, environmental studies, and social sciences. The concept of Synergizing Science, which underpins ICNF 2026, emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration to build nutrition resilience—the capacity of individuals and communities to access, understand, and sustainably utilize nutritious foods.
Scientific Topics Include:
(1) Sustainable Diets and Local Food Systems
Exploring culturally relevant and environmentally sustainable nutrition strategies that promote food security, biodiversity, food sovereignty, and community resilience through integrated approaches across agriculture, ecology, and public health.
(2) Physical Activity and Public Health
Examining the synergistic role of diet and physical activity in preventing non-communicable diseases across life stages and settings—from schools to workplaces—through cross-sectoral public health interventions and community engagement.
(3) Food Product Innovation for Sustainable Nutrition
Highlighting advancements in food science and technology—including fortified products, plant-based innovations, and reformulated traditional foods—that enhance nutritional quality while supporting environmental sustainability and equitable access.
(4) Behavioral Change for Sustainable Health
Investigating the psychological, cultural, and social determinants of food and activity choices, and how interdisciplinary strategies can foster lasting behavior change for healthier, more resilient communities.
Publication Opportunities
Participants of ICNF 2026 will have the opportunity to publish their work through one of the following options:
