About ICOP Conference

The 3rd Integrated Cattle and Oil Palm (ICOP) Conference 2026

The 3rd Integrated Cattle and Oil Palm (ICOP) Conference 2026 is an international scientific conference focusing on the advancement of regenerative agriculture through Integrated Cattle–Oil Palm Systems (SISKA). ICOP 2026 serves as an international platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to disseminate research findings, exchange best practices, and discuss innovations related to integrated livestock–plantation systems. The conference aims to strengthen collaboration among national and international institutions and to support evidence-based policy development and sustainable agribusiness models.

The 3rd ICOP 2026 is organized by the Center for Tropical Animal Studies (CENTRAS), IPB University, Indonesia, in collaboration with leading national and international partners, including the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Indonesian Oil Palm–Cattle Association (GAPENSISKA), UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, the Government of Riau Province, and Wageningen University & Research (The Netherlands).

By integrating scientific evidence, field experiences, and regional policy perspectives, ICOP 2026 contributes to the development of regenerative agriculture, climate-smart livestock systems, and green investment pathways in tropical regions. The conference also aims to enhance the quality and impact of international scientific publications, with accepted papers published in BIO Web of Conferences (EDP Sciences) and indexed by Scopus.

Conference History

The ICOP Conference series has been consistently organized to promote scientific dialogue and multi-stakeholder collaboration in the development of Integrated Cattle–Oil Palm Systems (SISKA) in Indonesia and other tropical regions. Since its inception, ICOP has evolved as a reputable international forum addressing sustainable livestock–plantation integration and regenerative agriculture.

  • 1st ICOP 2019 – Organized by BPPT in collaboration with IA-RMCP
  • 2nd ICOP 2024 – Organized by the SISKA Supporting Program in collaboration with Universitas Tanjungpura
  • 3rd ICOP 2026 – Organized by CENTRAS IPB University in collaboration with GAPENSISKA

The 3rd Integrated Cattle and Oil Palm (ICOP) Conference 2026 carries the theme “Regenerative Agriculture in Integrated Cattle–Oil Palm Systems” The conference will encompass several key sub-themes, each addressing strategic aspects of sustainable livestock–plantation integration in tropical regions:

  • Integrated Oil Palm–Cattle Systems (SISKA)
  • Intercropping Systems and Soil Health
  • Pasture and Forage Management under Oil Palm Plantations
  • Meat and Milk Quality of Pasture-Grazed Cattle
  • Biosecurity and Animal Health Management

The scope of papers includes, but is not limited to, animal nutrition, forage science, livestock–plantation integration, grazing systems, climate-smart and regenerative agriculture, agribusiness models, and policy analysis supporting sustainable cattle–oil palm systems.
