Abstract

Digital technology has developed rapidly and affected human life in economic transactions, obtaining services, and ways of interacting. This influence does not only occur in cities that have good digital infrastructure but also in rural areas. However, the low ability of koi farmers in Kuwut Hamlet, Kemloko Village, to understand and utilize digital technology in cultivating koi fish is the reason for the implementation of digital literacy training. This activity aims to identify problems in koi cultivation faced by koi farmers, especially in the use of digital technology, increase farmers' knowledge and skills in digital literacy, and improve farmers' knowledge and skills in digital marketing. This training was carried out through two stages, namely the preparation stage in the form of a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) between the IPB team and the Ana Cahaya Koi Community Group (Pokmas) and the implementation stage of digital literacy education training. This series of training was held in Kuwut Hamlet, Kemloko Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency, from August 2, 2024, to August 10, 2024. The results identified the problems faced by koi farmers in Kuwut Hamlet as the availability and quality of water for koi fish cultivation and the marketing of koi fish products. The results of the FGD were obtained that both problems can be solved by utilizing digital technology. Through this training, farmers are equipped with digital literacy knowledge and skills; as a result, farmers are able to understand digital literacy and are able to utilize digital literacy in koi fish cultivation. In addition, this training also equips farmers with digital marketing skills. As a result, farmers are able to create WhatsApp Business and create product catalogs, store accounts on Shopee, and create product marketing content.
