Abstract

Currently, Bogor City government through the Bogor City Environmental Service assisted by WWF and the Rekam Nusantara Foundation manages TPS 3R in Bogor City, especially Mekarwangi and Bantar Kemang, where this collaboration conducted to realize the implementation of the Bogor City Plastic Smart Cities (PSC) program since 2021 to eliminate plastic waste by 2030. TPS 3R Mekarwangi is a  3R waste processing place and where collection, sorting, reuse, and recycling activities are carried out on a regional scale. The Bogor Mayor's Decree No. 660/Kep.668-DPUPR/2021 concerning the formation of the Ciliwung Naturalization Task Force Team for Bogor City, and assisted by the Rekam Nusantara Foundation to conduct socialization and assistance to the communities. This team continue to strive to change community behavior and waste management in Bogor City. The process for changing community behavior and waste management includes several aspects, namely: (1) mapping the area, (2) determining the assisted area for the target of behavior change, (3) calculating the volume of waste per day, the number of families/people and social conditions in each area to be intervened, (4) identifying actors who need to be invited to collaborate for behavior change, (5) providing assistance for behavior change routinely and consistently until behavior change can be achieved, (6) evaluating the progress of assistance routinely, (7) providing support for facilities and equipment, (8) designing a waste management model so that it has economic value, (9) building a final management site (TPS3R) and a waste bank.
