Abstract

Strengthening the institutional capacity of organic farmers in Mulyaharja Village, particularly for the Ciharashas Women's Farmer Group (KWT), is a crucial step towards enhancing the independence and sustainability of organic farming. This initiative includes various activities such as Focus Group Discussions (FGD), training on making botanical pesticides, presentations on farm business analysis, as well as monitoring and evaluation to assess the program's progress and impact. The Focus Group Discussions aim to identify the needs and challenges faced by group members. The botanical pesticide training provides practical knowledge on managing pests without using harmful chemicals. The farm business analysis presentations help farmers understand the financial aspects and opportunities of organic farming. Monitoring and evaluation ensure effective implementation and provide feedback for program improvement. The results of these activities show an increase in knowledge, skills, and institutional capacity of the Ciharashas KWT in supporting sustainable organic farming. The pre-test and post-test results indicate a knowledge increase of 6.7 points, from an average score of 89 to 96. Additionally, monitoring results show that the KWT is now capable of making and applying pesticides from neem leaves.
