Avocado is one of the fruit commodities with excellent nutritional content that benefits health, possesses a distinctive taste, and is highly sought after. Avocado also holds a relatively high economic value compared to other fruit commodities. Additionally, the availability of ample land serves as a sufficient resource to develop avocado plantations to a better level. According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, avocado production in Indonesia in 2019 reached 1.7 million tons with an agricultural land area of 198,000 hectares.One area in South Bogor District, Bogor City, known as Mulyaharja Subdistrict, has significant potential in terms of rice fields and plantation land. One of the commodities cultivated there is avocado. In line with the resources available in Mulyaharja Subdistrict and to enhance the productivity and continuity of avocado plantation activities—which hold substantial potential as a high-value fruit commodity—a specialized training program is essential.A Community Service Program conducted by the Vocational School of IPB held a training program on enhancing sustainable avocado plantation productivity in Mulyaharja Subdistrict. This program aimed to train avocado farmers in Mulyaharja Subdistrict in skills aligned with GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) to achieve sustainable productivity. Data were collected through questionnaires, surveys, and direct observation of farmer groups. The survey included questions on avocado cultivation knowledge and compost-making knowledge. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, there was a 40% increase in knowledge regarding avocado cultivation based on GAP. Additionally, knowledge of compost-making improved from 57% to 63%.
