Abstract

This community service was carried out to increase the knowledge and skills of the Cibunian Village Youth Organization management related to waqf zakat literacy, waqf-based forest, waqf-based forest application, and carbon accounting. Karang Taruna Desa Cibunian is a forum for the expression and activities of the young generation in Cibunian Village that often organizes various activities in religious, social, and environmental fields. Cibunian Village has excellent potential as an ecotourism destination. Still, the village is very prone to landslides, so cooperation from various parties is needed to overcome these problems while optimizing the village's existing potential. Karang Taruna can be essential in optimizing the village's potential by being equipped with knowledge and skills. One of them is the waqf-based forest training and carbon calculation. This waqf-based forest can preserve the forest to prevent landslides, increase the selling value of Cibunian Village, increase visitors, and is expected to improve the standard of living of the local community. Based on the observation, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the Cibunian Village Youth Organization's understanding of the basic concepts of zakat and waqf as well as an increase in their ability to conduct surveys, operate the Waqf-based Forest application, conduct carbon calculations, and manage waqf-based forest. This can increase local communities' sense of ownership and role in protecting the environment, preventing disasters, and optimizing village potential through waqf-based forest.
