Abstract

Protein consumption, especially fish, is increasing in Indonesia, including in Cibanteng Village, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency. This has encouraged the Kebon Kopi Mandiri Farmer Group in Cibanteng Village to cultivate fish so that they can develop their business in the fisheries sector while promoting the village's food security program. The objectives of this community service program are (1) to improve human resource capacity, (2) to utilize vacant land for the application of tilapia farming based on biofloc without molasses, and (3) to increase revenue through commercialization and capital minimization. The stages of community service consist of socialization, technology application, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results obtained from the farming and business management training were an increase in the knowledge and techniques of farmer group members regarding tilapia farming and a clear division of labor among members so that the group's institutional structure could function properly. Tilapia farming carried out on limited land has been able to build three ponds with a 15 percent reduction in fish mortality. The use of biofloc technology can reduce mortality and increase fish weight, thereby increasing production.
