Publishing Policies & Ethics

The proceeding publishes articles, short communications, and reviews that contribute to a scientific understanding in the areas of Aquatic Science and Fisheries Science whit the big theme "Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Aquatic Resources Management: Connecting Science, Policy, and Action".

Editors, reviewers and authors are encouraged to refer to COPE's Core Practices and Elsevier Publishing Ethics.


Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose whether they have a financial relationship with the organization that sponsored the research.


Statement of Human and Animal Rights

When reporting experiments on human subjects, authors should indicate whether the procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation (institutional and national). When reporting experiments on animals, authors should be asked to indicate whether the institutional and national guide for the care and use of laboratory animals was followed.


Peer Review

All published articles are peer reviewed.

  • Journals' policy encourages the use of blinded peer review and, when it is possible, multiple reviewers.
  • Reviews must be conducted by expert referees, who have been requested to provide unbiased and constructive comments aimed, whenever possible, at improving the work.
  • Proceedings editors must take all reasonable steps to ensure the quality of the materials they publish.
